Terms of use

Concordância is an app for reading the Bible, highlighting, taking notes and examining the original text, maintained by Hiperplano (“we”).

By creating an account or using the service, you state that you have read and agree to these Terms and to the Privacy policy. If you do not agree, do not use the service.

To create an account you must be 13 or older. From 13 to 17, use should be with the knowledge of your parents or legal guardian.

You agree to:

• provide accurate information and keep it up to date;
• keep your password safe (or access to the Google, Apple or Microsoft account you used to sign in);
• tell us if anyone uses your account without permission.

You are responsible for what happens in your account.

The free plan includes reading the whole Bible, highlights, notes, search, ready-made reading plans, the original a tap away and cross-references, with no expiry date.

Premium adds features such as AI with monthly credits, your own shareable plans, maps, interlinear, the full Strong entry, occurrences and commentaries. The current list of what each plan includes is on the Pricing page and may change over time; changes do not take away what you already paid for in the current period.

Premium is a monthly subscription. Signing up is not open yet; when it opens, payment will be by card through Stripe (in reais, dollars or euros) or, in Brazil, also through Mercado Pago. The price, in your region's currency, will be shown before you confirm. The subscription renews every month until canceled.

You can cancel any time, in Settings, Subscription. There is no penalty: Premium continues until the end of the period already paid, and then the account returns to the free plan, keeping your highlights, notes and plans.

Canceling stops the next charge, but the period already paid is not automatically refunded. If you find a charge you consider improper, contact us. The rights provided by consumer protection law, including the right of withdrawal in distance contracts, remain in force.

If the price changes, we will give notice in advance and the new price only applies from the following renewal.

The notes, highlights, plans and other content you create are yours. You only authorize us to store them and show them to you and to whoever you choose (for example, in a group or a shared link), so that the service works.

Bible texts, lexicons, commentaries and maps belong to their authors and rights holders and are used under the licenses indicated in the app. The software, design and the Concordância brand belong to Hiperplano. These Terms do not transfer any of those rights to you.

You must not:

• use the service for unlawful purposes or to offend, threaten or harm other people (including in groups and shared content);
• try to access areas, accounts or data that are not yours, or compromise the security of the service;
• copy the content in bulk by automated means, or get around limits such as AI credits;
• resell access to the service without our authorization.

The AI answers questions about the Bible text automatically and can be wrong. It is not a substitute for pastoral, legal, medical or psychological guidance. Always check the verses it cites.

Inappropriate questions and answers may be blocked, and abusive use may pause the feature. Avoid including personal data in your questions: as the Privacy policy explains, the question and the passage of text are sent to the AI provider to generate the answer.

We work to keep the service running, but it is offered as is, and may be unavailable for maintenance or for reasons beyond our control. For now, you need to be online to use the app.

To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect damages or losses caused by unavailability, and our liability is limited to the amount you paid in the last 12 months. This does not exclude liability that the law does not allow to be limited.

You can stop using the service at any time. To delete your account and data, use the “Delete my account” button in Settings → Account (see also the Privacy policy).

We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms, stating the reason whenever possible.

We may update these Terms. When a change is significant, we will notify you by email or inside the app, with reasonable notice. Continuing to use the service after the notice means you accepted the new version; if you do not accept it, you can cancel and close your account.

These Terms are governed by the laws of Brazil. The venue is the courts of the user's place of residence, in accordance with the Brazilian Consumer Protection Code.
